Weekend Writing Warriors entry #17

Another entry for Weekend Writing Warriors. WeWriWa is a blog site open to all authors/writers published or unpublished. Follow the simple instructions on their blog to sign up and then post a snippet of writing on your own blog to join in on the fun.

Continuing with an excerpt from my book Fiendish and I'm picking up again with that. The excerpt picks up in the middle of chapter 3 and I will continue til the end of the chapter. Last week Calida and Seth had just arrived at her house much quicker than she had hoped.

If you are just joining me, click the link below to be taken to the beginning of this excerpt.

I turned to open the door, but Seth grabbed my hand stopping me. I shot him a look of confusion.
“I can’t let you do that,” he said, answering my unspoken question.
“I can’t get out of the car?”
“I can’t let you open your own door.”
I felt a smile spread across my face. The chivalrous nature of that statement made my stomach do a little flip. Seth got out of the car then strolled around to open the door for me.

    1. Worried? Did you think he was going to try and kidnap her? Nope he's just being a gentleman and insisting on opening the door.

    1. We are indeed playing a game of cat and mouse although he's more like a tiger than a cat so the odds are really against her. He's a little bit of both... His motives are always self-serving. It's a long read, but hopefully entertaining from start to finish.

    1. Well, it depends on the day and his mood. Some days, he's a great guy, others, well let's just say you don't want to cross paths with him.

  8. Ahhh, now he's found a reason to get out of the car, and then he'll walk her to her door, and then, oh-so-cleverly, he'll convince her to invite him in. That's what's happening in my head, at least. lol. Great excerpt! :)

    1. LOL...you make it sound like he doesn't have pure intentions right now. He could just be a gentleman and believes in opening the door for a lady. :) Or not...
