Another entry for Weekend Writing Warriors. WeWriWa is a blog site open to all authors/writers published or unpublished. Follow the simple instructions on their blog to sign up and then post a snippet of writing on your own blog to join in on the fun.

Continuing with an excerpt from my book Fiendish and I'm picking up again with that. The excerpt picks up in the middle of chapter 3 and I will continue til the end of the chapter. Last week we finally got to hear from Calida. They are done with dinner and now he's preparing to take her home.

If you are just joining me, click the link below to be taken to the beginning of this excerpt.

Figuring I might as well enjoy the remaining time with him, I told him my address. His smile broadened when he got the information he was after, and I prayed we’d get stopped at every traffic light along the way. Seth turned on his car, and the engine roared to life.
“Whoa,” I said under my breath, but from the smirk Seth gave me, I assumed he heard it.
He quickly punched my address into his navigation system, and we were off.  Unfortunately for me, the streets of Atlanta were not crowded for once, and we arrived at my house sooner than I’d hoped.
“Thank you. I had a great time,” I said when he killed the engine after pulling into my driveway.
“You’re welcome, and so did I.”

    1. That's how Calida feels as well. She's not ready for this date to be over, especially since the thinks she won't see him again.

    1. You are like Calida. She doesn't want the night to end either, but sadly it must. What will happen? Does she invite him in for a night cap? She's probably thinking about it.

    1. Well...his character is only a mystery to Calida. The reader knows exactly what and who Seth is from page 1.
