Music Monday - Señorita

Happy Monday. It's been two weeks since I did one of these posts. I didn't want to miss, but I try to keep blogging a fun thing for me. I was having a bit of blahs, so didn't feel up to it, so instead of forcing myself, I skipped the posts.

But I'm back. Been slowly (very slowly) chugging along with my next novella. You'd think since it was short, with minimal plot writing would be easy. Ha! Joke's on me, I think it's even harder. Less time to explore, character build, add in sexy times, and get a HFN (happily for now) ending.

The other two books in the 'series' are about 18k. I'm sitting at about 9k so halfway there. As always, music helps. Even when I'm not actively writing, I'm thinking about the story, trying to work things out, and music helps me in that process.

This week's song plays into the sexy vibe, and since I just finished their first sexy encounter, it works with Lana's somewhat new outlook on Emilio. Enemies-to-lovers neighbor style has been fun to write with the banter and snark between these two.

The words are coming slowly, but the musical inspiration keeps coming at me. I'm in the final month of summer with my kids, hopefully less distractions will help me get this completed sometime in August. Until then, the playlist keeps growing.

Hope you have a great week.

Until next time,
~Meka

  1. When it's shorter, you have to get to the point quicker.
