Music Monday - I Got You

Happy Monday folks! I hope you all had a good weekend. We spent most of ours just recuperating from the first week of school. However I did manage one thing writer-ly related.

I put out an epilogue to my new year release, Anything Once. Why would I do that nearly 8 months later? Well, even though reading reviews is supposed to be a no-no, occasionally I still do. Yes, bad Meka. But...something good came of it. I noticed in some of the early reviews that while people seemed to like the story, it felt 'unfinished' to them.

This was repeated in more than one review, so something I took notice of. I talked with my publisher about adding to the story and they agreed I could. The bonus was sent out on Friday to my newsletter subscribers and on Sunday I made it public to everyone. It was good to revisit Ian and Quinn and I hope those that read the story and the new epilogue feel like it ties everything up nice and neat-ish.

In honor of the epi, I've chosen a song that sorta represents the theme of the chapter and the journey my characters took to get there.

If you've read Anything Once, and missed the chatter about the bonus, you can read it at my other blog. It is a password protected post.

Drop me some comments on what you think of it.

Have a great week!

Until next time
~Meka

  1. That's a good idea. I have an epilogue for one of my books because a fan really wanted to know what happened next.

    1. Oh cool. I wasn't sure how to handle it since this is through a publisher and I don't have the same freedoms. I was glad they were okay with me posting it and they'll be adding it to the final file so yay. It is nice to give readers what they ask for *if* it's reasonable/possible.

      thanks for stopping by
