First, congratulations on the release and making those ranks. Keep up marketing for the first three months after release to help it along. Second, way to go on two releases in one year. That's huge. I know that it's the trend for authors to do rapid releases and come out with a lot each year, but that's just unrealistic for many of us. Don't burn yourself out. Do what you can manage. Aim for another release for next year. I used to try to do one release a year in my series, but because of my burnout, I won't have one this year, and that's okay. I'll settle for next year. :) Good luck!Chrys Feyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11955009490266358041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7775652771554156477.post-85113048377668518842019-02-16T03:44:07.878-05:002019-02-16T03:44:07.878-05:00Congrats on the rankings! Work on the marketing and publishing stuff for a while -- you can get it all done and ready for release for the entire year -- then take a break before diving back into writing. Perhaps if the stress of the other parts of this job is out of the way, your muse will feel free to show up again :-)

Ronel visiting for Feb's IWSG Day Being an Insecure Writer -- And Happy About ItRonel Janse van Vuurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04041347187777879494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7775652771554156477.post-29339036996512925522019-02-09T15:29:38.131-05:002019-02-09T15:29:38.131-05:00Congrats on your release, and I totally understand...Congrats on your release, and I totally understand what you mean. We ...You absolutely should be so proud of yourself! We go through phases as authors. We can't continually be producing new work in this modern age of publishing, because our focus intermittently has to be on the other parts of the job (like releasing new books and marketing them!) It takes a lot of steam to get these other parts of the job done, and then no wonder we're not feeling new words for a while.
